Kate was born in Glasgow on 25 March 1943. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family. Kate passed peacefully on 18 March 2012.

A prayer for Kate
Father of all, we pray for those who we love but see no longer. Grant them your peace; let light perpetual shine upon them, and in your loving wisdom and almighty power work in them the good purpose of your perfect will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
